RESET Go Safety Coaching Framework

RESET Go Safety Coaching Framework

Coaching is about facilitating learning to develop the capability of others in the organisation, in relation to a specific skill or performance outcome. Safety professionals need to be able to coach many different stakeholders in their organisation as well as other safety professionals.
Coaching should be one of the top priorities for a safety professional in their daily work as they regularly need to facilitate learning to improve the performance of others.

Coaching can however be daunting for safety professionals especially as there are so many different models and frameworks. One that is specifically intended for safety professionals was developed by Dr David Provan and Ralph Shreeve in 2020. It is called RESET-Go and integrates elements of David’s Safety Science research at Griffith University with elements of Ralph’s Coaching research at HEC, Paris, and the University of Oxford.

As with other contemporary coaching frameworks, RESET Go facilitates intentional positive change. Unlike ALL other frameworks, it also facilitates risk-based decisions and actions by focusing on establishing defences and safeguards as well as testing and verifying assumptions.

Engage with the creators of the RESET Go coaching framework, Dr David Provan and Ralph Shreeve as they co-present an overview of their model. They will explain its multiple applications and share insights into the key factors that drive coaching success. After role playing a demonstration, the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions.
