Biography

Campbell was awarded a grant by the Australian Government Research Training Program, to research “WHS in the gig economy” thus allowing him entry into the University of Wollongong’s School of Health and Society, Faculty of Arts, Social Science and Humanities, as a PhD candidate in Autumn 2020.

He holds a master’s degree in OHS and Environmental Management Systems awarded through the ACU, is a Chartered OHS Professional and is a passionate supporter of AIHS having held membership since 2015.

Over 20 years, he has held various OHS management positions in the construction, civil construction, oil and gas industries, taught WHS at Sydney TAFE between 2014 and 2018, and continues to run his OHS consultancy service Always Safe Pty Ltd.

At this point he has enthusiastically embarked on research projects to benefit exposed workers and the OHS community.
