
Sharron O'Neill is Associate Professor of Accounting in the School of Business at UNSW, Canberra, where her Master of Business courses include: Accounting and Financial Management, and Leadership of Safe and Healthy Work.
Sharron’s research engages with government, investors and industry to improve WHS performance data design, measurement, reporting and application. This includes the appropriate use of WHS data to shape decision-making and work (re)design at the operational level, and governance and accountability at the executive level.
Sharron led the development of the Global Reporting Initiative’s OHS reporting standard (GRI403) and her work has contributed to State, National and global policy debate and reform. Sharron is a member of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), and the Australian Institute of Health and Safety (AIHS).
